“The Power of Leadership”
Continuation of Thought from Dr. Jason D. Patent:
The culturally savvy leader is also a person of equanimity, foresight and patience. They know that even though they may grow frustrated at times with the “different” people they are working with, they will steady themselves and move forward. They are willing and able to do this because they envision a bright future for their business.
They see the world growing smaller; they see old walls coming down and new bridges being built. And they know that the best way for their business to succeed in the long run is by joining the community of nations and cultures as equal partners.
They also understand that it takes time to build bridges. People don’t just wake up devoid of prejudice; they have to work at it. They know that some days will feel like a cultural slog, but they are willing to muddle through because the rewards are just too big to pass up.
