• Link Every Activity to your Goals

    “The Power of Leadership”

Jim Rohn used to say that the only reason more people don’t become millionaires is that they don’t have enough reasons to.  It certainly is not a lack of opportunity!  Pick up any business magazine and begin reading about the ordinary people from ordinary places that take ordinary ideas and use them to become wildly successful.

The only real reason more people aren’t more productive is the same, they don’t have enough reason to be productive.  The secret to more and more personal productivity and success is having more and more reasons to be more productive and more successful!

This is why you must link everything you do (and choose not to do) to your Goals.

This is not easy, I understand.  What’s the old saying, “when you are up to your neck in alligators, it’s difficult to remember the original goal was to drain the swamp.”  It’s tough to keep laser focus on your goals, but it’s the key to everything!  Clear and consistent focus on goals is what fuels motivation, which drive productive even if uncomfortable choices and gets goals achieved.

Productivity is the deliberate, strategic investment of your time, talent, intelligence, energy, resources, and opportunities in a manner that is calculated to move you measurably closer to your own meaningful goals.

This definition provides a very simple and very effective measurement of productivity:  Is what I’m doing, this minute, moving me measurably closer to my goals?

“For every action there is an equal or opposite criticism.” – Unknown

*I’m impressed, I must say. Really rarely do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. Your idea is outstanding; the issue is something that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to this.
