    “The Power of Leadership”

This has been fueling me for about a week, my heart beats faster just getting ready to share it with you, here are some pieces put together from the July issue of the G.K.I.C. No B.S. Marketing Letter, written by Dan Kennedy.  As a warning, Dan is known as “the Professor of Harsh Reality,” he’s a Libertarian and an Entrepreneur who calls it like he sees it…  I read every word he writes with highlighter in hand as his advice, while sometimes painful to hear, has brought me nothing but success, progress, and ever more enthusiasm for more success.  He’s also known as the “Millionaire Maker”!

A Litmus Test for the most successful business leaders to apply to decisions and activity:  “Are you strengthening your liberty and independence, and taking responsibility to own control, or are you weakening your liberty and independence and control by avoiding or transferring responsibility?”  Dan goes on, “This is tough, and I know it well.”  “Screaming priorities compete” but, “you are either deeply, unequivocally, fiercely committed to independence or you are not.”

“This is the deal.  You either get up in the morning, early, and do it, or you don’t.  Do or don’t.  That’s how it is with everything: your health, your wealth, your book that may or may not get written, your commitments that may or may not be kept, your business condition, even what you read here.”  “You are either independent or dependent.  You either Do it or Don’t.”  “And in America, and I imagine most every other place people reading this reside, the harsh reality is this: damn few people fail or suffer because of what they can’t do.  Because of what they won’t and don’t do.  Not because of can’t.”

“People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are.  I don’t believe in circumstances.  The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can’t find them, make them.” – George Bernard Shaw
