“The Power of Leadership”
Earlier this year we lost a legend in the field of success training, Jim Rohn. Jim’s training is so solid and fundamentally sound that it’s very hard to beat, but I think often he made things so fundamentally simple that it left the average consumer of information disappointed by disempowering their alibi of choice and requiring massive action which they find too uncomfortable to bare through with.
One of Jim’s fundamentals was to boil down the successful individual until all that remains to say is “no wonder he’s doing so well. Look at everything he does!”
There really isn’t too much mystery to success at that point and that is disappointing to most people who want it to be some overly complicated magic formula. It’s simply a reflection of what you’re actually doing with your time. Look at the one thing or two or three things that the successful person gets done each and every day without fail.
Dan Kennedy writes that he can do a good job of predicting what your bank balance will be one year from now, given the following information:
- What’s in the account today.
- A list of the books you read and training programs you completed last month.
- Some basic information about the five people your hang out with most.
- A little analysis of how you spend your time during an average week.
By the way, Dan says that for at least 90% of people this prediction is a no brainer… the balance will be the same as it was last year.
If you’re “stuck” in this rut, do some research into Jim Rohn’s “The Principle of Massive Action” and then do not implement one solution to the problem, implement 20 all at the same time!
“Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal nagging on of an uncompleted task.” – William James
