Accurate Thinking is certainly the least popular of Hill’s secrets to success in Think and Grow Rich, but it is a subject I must constantly focus clients on. Failure in this area is both risky and expensive.
I find that clarity is often demonized as negative thinking or being cynical rather than accurately accessing a given situation. Norman Vincent Peale, creator of The Power of Positive Thinking was once quoted with saying, “Well, I didn’t intend it as substitute for sense.”
In the areas of Business Leadership, you must have sound strategies. Success is largely about accurately determining what can be done and doing it. And as we said yesterday, business is all about Selling. Even the grand thinking and exceedingly optimistic Walt Disney made sure the first thing built at the location where Disney World would be developed in Florida was the Visitor’s Center, where souvenirs and toys were on sale from day one.
