“The Power of Leadership”
Yesterday in the U.S., we had a holiday called “Labor Day.” Labor Day is a day off work for nearly everyone in the U.S. It’s been around in its general present form for little more than 100 years and is intended to celebrate working people. I won’t discuss the politics of it, I’ll just say we all enjoyed a three day weekend!
So, I thusly heard the words, Labor, Work(ing), and Job(s) A LOT this past weekend. I’m all for hard work and for hard working people, I myself work A LOT as probably do you, most readers of the ‘Thought of the Day’ work pretty darn hard! Most readers are also leaders and are responsible for building, creating, and attracting greatness, profits and wealth to themselves and the organizations they lead.
All this reminded me of some recent study of those who have great wealth. In my study of those who attain great wealth, there certainly is always a lot of work done and done well. But, there is a mindset which is very different than most; they break apart what can simply be called the Work – Money Link. They believe that words such as “make” suggest that wealth is only obtained through and is always proportionate to effort exerted. “Make” and “Create” implies that wealth only comes with exertion.
There seems to be a radical mindset shift among the very wealthy which puts them into a position of momentum and attraction of opportunity, money, and wealth. I use the word “attraction” carefully as I don’t wish to summon thoughts of the mystical Power of Attraction with no action and no implementation which has become so popular, but is an empty promise. I simply want to point out and highlight this Work-Money Link, a thought process which clearly repels wealth. So, “Check your head” as they say, to ensure you’re not repelling wealth from your life with this limiting belief.
“All the breaks you need in life wait within your imagination; Imagination is the workshop of your mind, capable of turning mind energy into accomplishment and wealth.” – Napoleon Hill
Have a limitless day!
